Susan Ruddick Bloom is known for her fine art photography, especially her digital painting techniques and multi-layered collage art. She uses alternative photographic processes and digital manipulations. Sue has been involved in making art on the computer for over twenty-six years. She holds a B.F.A. and a M.F.A. from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She is Professor and Chair of the Department of Art and Art History at McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. In addition to her college teaching and exhibitions, Sue conducts classes at many of the top photographic workshops and also leads photo tours throughout the world. The second edition of that book is due out in the Fall of 2010. Her new book, Digital Painting in Photoshop, was released in 2009. She beta tests software for Adobe, and is a staff writer for Better Photoshop Techniques, an Australian quarterly.
